LONDON - Knowing who is likely to step up to the plate when a star manager moves on is even more crucial for a boutique, so take the time to get to know their process and personnel as well as you can.

That is according to a panel of global fund buyers who were speaking as part of the latest ‘Selector Hard Talk’ discussion on boutique management.

The panel was moderated by Spyros Agrianitis, head of funds selection & third-party fund relations at Alpha Bank, and Pietro Cecere, Citywire’s head of European research.
